New years eve

So sorry for being a bad blogger...I have been busy just being with the family!
Done a bit of crafting but no photos to show you at the moment sorry.
I really need to make my Papertake card for this week today so I am a bit late with that...sorry Steph! I will show as so as I finish it.
Going for a walk around some shops this morning as I am feeling a bit like a caged animal...I haven't been out of the house since Friday and that was food shopping...the kids have been in since boxing day! :o
I think it's going to be a long week this week as OH goes back to work on Wednesday but the kids are off till next Monday!

Boxing day

Hope everyone is enjoying their christmas...we are!
We had a day at home yesterday with presents and today we are at my parents for a buffet tea.
Hope Santa was kind to everyone...I got quite a few crafty goodies which I can't wait to play with (especially my Pink cat studio Grab bag of stamps which I EZ-mounted yesterday in a quiet moment!)

I have done this Nellie in really girly colours as I wanted her to match these Making Memories Kate papers.

Funky Nellie!!

I think this Nellie looks really trendy with her jeans and top so I popped her on to this lovely funky Craftwork cards paper which was in the blog candy from Julie and some pink Bazzill, prima flowers and ribbon to finish off.

This is my Daughters favourite Nellie stamps and it's one of mine too,

I love these papers from K & Co too as I love the colours.

I hope you are all having a relaxing weekend...mine was not too good yesterday when DS was sick in bed and I had to change all the bedding at 10.30pm. He seems to have made a full recovery this morning thank goodness!

DCM -I'm Free!

This is the dare this week from the DCM team.....

"This week, we the DCM team, would like you to design a card using a magazine 'freebie' . Either a craft magazine freebie, or indeed any other magazine freebie, papers, embellishments, tools, etc. anything really, as long as it came from a magazine."

Well I used this paper I got with the magazine Just Great Papers. I think it's a lovely paper too!

The image is of course Sugar Nellie, one of the Sugar Nellie Club stamps which I got yesterday. I have 5 more coloured and should be able to show a card day till christmas eve I think so keep popping back (if you have time LOL!)

Sorry for the wonky scan but I couldn't get a decent photo there is just not enough light this morning...it's so dull here.

Not sure how much I will get to post now before christmas so I just wanted to say I hope you all have a great christmas and a wonderful new year...although I assume I will have something new to show you before then! (my new Sugar Nellies arrived this morning and I haven't put them away for christmas..I have just mounted them all so I may have a play later)

DCM - Inside and out

This card has been about 3 days in the making....I have been picking it up doing a bit and then putting it aside as I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but now I am happy with it.

Papertake weekly challenge - Food for thought

This weeks challenge on Papertake weekly is to feature food or drink on your card and here is what I came up with. I have had these papers a while and never found the inspiration to use them until now!

I am please with how it turned out. You can't tell from this picture but the large cupcake in the centre has been stickled.

I have just had my paypal invoice from Funky Kits for the preorder of the Sugar Nellie Kit 1 so I assume they are ready to go, they may even get here before christmas if I am lucky, I have also put in an order for a few Derwent watercolour pencils to fill in the gaps in the colours which I have...I never seem to have just the right colour at the moment!

DD is much better now and I did get some crafting done yesterday..2 cards but I can't share yet as they are for Papertake weekly for the next 2 weeks challenges.
I am going to try to get one done for DCM today and if I get it done early enough I will share that if not it will be tomorrow.

This is the card I was asked for yesterday, I really hope it is the last christmas one I will need to do as I am sick of them now!

I now have an order from my Mum for a 4oth birthday card but I have until Wednesday to do it so not a rush job.

I am hoping to get a card done for the DCM stripe challenge later today, not got much done yet today as we have been for an early christmas dinner at Mum and Dads as they are busy at the weekends till christmas now.

Made 2 cards today, one for Papertake which I can't show you until Monday and the other for the lady who had the 3 christmas cards.
She came to collect them today and liked them so much that when she got home she rang me and asked me to do another for her daughter from her partner. I have done it now but finished it too late to get a decent photo so i will post this tomorrow.

Birthday cards

I was asked this morning to make 2 more cards for the lady who also wants the 3 christmas cards doing.

When do you want them for I ask??? It's her birthday today and she forgot!! So the christmas cards went on hold and this is what I have been doing all morning! I must say I am quite pleased with how they turned out which is a surprise after them being such a rush job!

The daughter card is A5 the PP is by 3 Bugs in a Rug,& the image is a Hanna.

The Someone Special card is 5 x 7, the PP is Kelly Panacci, & the image is a Bella (not sure which as I don't own it!)

My last christmas card!!

Well apart from the 3 I have to do for an order.

It's the last one from me that I had to do, it's a good feeling to be finished at long last!

I have just wrote all my cards out so they are all ready to go. We put the tree up yesterday and I did a bit more shopping this morning, only a couple of bits to get now and I know what these are so I am feeling quite smug!LOL!

I am all better now thanks for the get well wishes!

Sorry!...and a baby card

So sorry I disappeared for a while then!

Went to doctors with my throat and he took one look and prescribed anti-biotics.

I am beginning to feel quite a bit better now but I am just so tired so I haven't been crafting at all.

Still got OH card to make for christmas, the image (thanks Natalie!) is all coloured, I just need to work the rest of the card around it, it will have to be Monday now though.

Got an order for 3 christmas cards to do this week too...

I have also been asked by the ladies at Arts and Crafts Direct if I would do some samples with the Helix Workstation again but this time for Helix to use at the general launch of the product at CHA!!! Well I couldn't really refuse could I ??!! LOL...got to get those done on a couple of weeks but anything goes this time, yey, no holographic card!!!!!!!

Going to put the christmas tree up tomorrow, kids are really excited now!
