Cards for DDs friends

DD has 2 back to back parties on Sunday, I have made these for her to take, we missed the boys birthday so I thought this was the best sentiment for it!

Sorry for my recent lack of blogging, I am snowed under with LOV design team work , customer orders and mag work....all good stuff but very time consuming!

Papertake Weekly - Sketch 3

Here is my card for the recent PTW sketch.

Cool Enough?

I need advice, this is for a 16 yr old lad (obviously!) who is quite a hard nut...into cage fighting and the like....is this OK? I really had no idea what to do but as she is my best customer I felt I had to give it a go! Customer said he won't really care as long as it has money in it but I know he will notice if he doesn't like it!
What do you think...anyone got a 16 yr old lad in their house to ask, opinions good or bad welcome as I am stumped!

Commission update

For anyone who is still interested in me rabbitting on about commissions I am still busy with them.
Just posted one out to CM&PC this morning, and have another to do for the subs pages. I have another 7 cards to do for Papercraft Essentials too.
My cards are in CM&PC this month and next month too I think. Not in the next issue of P.E. but the one after that. I have a some cards out in the issue of P.I. which is out in June or July not sure which? So all in all very pleased with myself but very busy!

60th Card

This card has been made for a customer, I did a retirement one on the same day which I was really pleased with but stupid me I forgot to take a photo of it.
Hope you like it.
Can't post directly onto my blog again, don't know why so I am having to do this by email again which is so annoying.

Tilda and Co Black and white

It's time for a bit of black and white theme, ideally no other colours to be used on you work.

(but if you are struggling with this then your magnolia image ( or 1 of if using more than 1 )
may have 1 more colour of your choice.

Once again work must include a magnolia stamp, and could be anything aslong as it is arty crafts.

Daughters birthday card

Here is the card I made for DDs birthday today.
The images is not a Sarah Kay stamp although I wish it was, it is an colouring picture I found on the internet and shrunk a bit!
I do have some Sarah Kay stamps ordered from the USA though due next month.
Hope you like the card...the image is coloured with coloured pencils to get finer detail than watercolours.

My OH's Birthday cards

It's my OH's birthday today and here are the cards I made him.

Hope you like them, he does!

The Fiance card was my second attempt as I think I must have been having an off day when I made the first and it was awful!
The papers on the bottom card are the new Papermania, for men papers and I love them.

Card order for Mum card

The request was for an A5 card with a cute and floral image, flowers and bling.
I think this fits the bill OK!

Tilda and Co - Decoupage Magnolias

Decoupage Tilda & Co
Now for this week..... I would love to see you decoupage with your magnolia stamps.
This could be as simple as having a Tilda or Edwin, that is holding something, you then stamp that image out twice, cut out the item he/she is holding and then layer it up with foam pads or silicone glue, to give a 3d effect
Or you could go totally wild and build up lot’s of layers.

Well here is my card for this week, using scraps of paper from the next card I am going to post!

Whoo- Hoo I can post again!

Don't know what happened before but I can now post again and moderate comments.
I have felt so disconnected from my blog posting by email it's just not the same!
I have now finished all my current commissions and have almost finished my card orders too.
Got another little commission in the pipeline for CM&PC and have just been asked for 2 more cards for the end of the month, one for a grandmas 60th which is easy and one for a youth who will be 15 or 16 and likes things like cage fighting..........not so easy....any ideas anyone!LOL!

Best friend card

This is from my daughter to her best friend, they share their birthday (and their name!LOL!).
I wasn't sure if DD would like the colours but luckily she does!

Card orders

Both orders are for the same recipient obviously from different people though!
I am pleased with how they have turned out.
Hope you like them!

Another one

Using the same HOTP pad as yesterday.
Just finished writing up my last commission for this month and now have 4 card orders to work on which are needed by Tuesday . No rest for the wicked as they say!

Using up stash!

Made this card as I have had this HOTP pad since early last yr (QVC TSV) and have hardly used it. Don't really like too many of the papers in it to be honest but I quite like how this card has turned out!

PTW - Elegant embossing

We have another sponsored challenge this week!
Phyllis at
Diamond Card Craft has kindly sent us this folding and embossing board!
It's a great prize and to enter for a chance to win, you just need to make your project with the 'Elegant Embossing' theme (wet or dry embossing!). Then leave a comment with a link to it! A winner will be picked at random and announced along with next weeks challenge!
And if you don't win, Phyllis is offering PTW participants 10% off their order and free P+P! Just enter PTW10 at the checkout! Good Luck!

Well here is my effort but I am not at all happy with it, it just doesn't gel together at all, never mind you win some you lose some!

Customer Order

This card was ordered by the same lady as the last one.
I am happy with how it turned out but tbh I wouldn't have put the gems in the corners normally but this customer always wants her special cards 'blinging up' as she calls it! Still I think it works.
